My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lance is a 5 month old Rhodesian Ridgeback/Hound mix that came to Humane Tomorrow from a Florida shelter during Hurricane Milton evacuations. Of course, the breed mix is just our best guess. Lance loves running zoomies around the large yard at his foster home, and he is super fast! He also loves playing with toys, wrestling with the resident dogs, and getting belly rubs! He recently attended a school function where he was friendly with everyone and every dog, including a 4 lb dog he decided to pal around with. He has a tendency to jump up when he is excited to see you, and foster mom is working with him to keep "four paws on the floor". We think he will be fine with kids over the age of 6. Lance is crate trained and potty trained. Please submit your application, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.

All potential adopters must fill out an application for the animal they want to adopt, which is available on our website. Humane Tomorrow does not do adoptions outside of the DFW Metroplex.

Our adoption fees are...
Cats:
$150 for most kittens and cats

Dogs:
$250-$300 for most puppies and dogs

The adoption fee helps to cover the costs of basic preventative care including spay or neuter, vaccines (including Rabies and virals), heartworm tests and preventative for dogs, FeLV/FIV tests for cats, in addition to extra medical care the animal may need, such as heartworm treatment, dental, or surgery. Often our adoption fees do not even cover costs for basic medical care the animals need, and are certainly cheaper than if all these procedures were covered by the owner.
