Momma Dog came to our shelter after her previous owner no longer wanted her. She spent much of her life outside and had several litters, but now that she's with us, she's thriving and discovering the joys of being loved and cared for.
Momma Dog is a true cuddlebug-she loves to snuggle with the other dogs in her foster home and will happily curl up in your lap for some extra attention. She's affectionate, gentle, and enjoys the company of both people and other dogs. She's also a big fan of walks, and nothing makes her happier than exploring the outdoors with her favorite humans by her side.
While she's learning how to be an indoor dog, she does have a bit of a mischievous side and loves to dash out the door if given the chance. So, she'll need a family that can keep a close eye on her when going in and out. But with a little patience, she's sure to settle in perfectly and become an incredibly loyal and loving companion.
If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate dog who will appreciate every moment of attention and love, Momma Dog is the one for you. She can't wait to find her forever home where she'll finally experience the comfort and care she deserves. Could that home be with you?
ADOPTION FEE $325. SHE IS SPAYED, MICROCHIPPED, UP TO DATE ON SHOTS AND HEARTWORM NEGATIVE.

More about this shelter
Dogwood Animal Shelter is a non-profit, no-kill shelter.
Since its infancy, compassionate, like-minded volunteers have been the driving force behind Dogwood Animal Shelter. Through auctions and sales, a handful of dedicated people raised enough money to build its first, albeit small facility and was established as a 501(c) 3 in 1976. It was filled beyond capacity almost immediately.
The shelter is funded entirely from donations and proceeds from their Dogwood Animal Shelter Thrift Store.
After years of saving, planning and busting at the seams with fur-babies, in 2005 it was time to build a new facility with their own in-house clinic! Under the direction of Dr. John Reinhold and coupled with a very dedicated and gifted team of Veterinarians and staff, Dogwood Animal Shelter continues to offer low cost spays and neuters to the public as well as services to their shelter buddies; services to approximately 2,000 dogs and cats yearly!
Dogwood Animal Shelter began their journey of being a successful no-kill shelter in 1997, and since then has saved over 40,000 lives!
