My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dunlin is a 2 year old, 50 lb German Shorthair Pointer mix that came to Humane Tomorrow from Florida during Hurricane Milton evacuations. This beautiful girl has a sweet temperament, along with a lot of energy. Dunlin loves running around outside, but she also has her chill side when she enjoys hanging out on the couch. Her most favorite thing is just being where her people are. She will actually sit with them and watch TV. She still likes to chew and will need durable chew toys. Dunlin is smart and already knows the sit, lay down, stay, and shake commands. She is potty pad trained and close to being totally potty trained. She is still getting used to her crate and making progress. She gets along with other dogs and should do well with kids over the age of 10. Dunlin can jump really high, especially when she sees a bird, so she needs a yard with at least a secure 6' fence (and no pet birds!). Please submit your application, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.

Submit Application

You may complete an application via our website at http://www.humanetomorrow.org/adopt/.

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters must fill out an application for the animal they want to adopt, which is available on our website. Humane Tomorrow does not do adoptions outside of the DFW Metroplex.

Our adoption fees are...
Cats:
$150 for most kittens and cats

Dogs:
$250-$300 for most puppies and dogs

The adoption fee helps to cover the costs of basic preventative care including spay or neuter, vaccines (including Rabies and virals), heartworm tests and preventative for dogs, FeLV/FIV tests for cats, in addition to extra medical care the animal may need, such as heartworm treatment, dental, or surgery. Often our adoption fees do not even cover costs for basic medical care the animals need, and are certainly cheaper than if all these procedures were covered by the owner.

Humane Tomorrow reserves the right to deny any application for any reason.

More about this rescue

Humane Tomorrow is a non-profit 501(c), all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of unwanted and abused animals in Flower Mound and the surrounding areas. We are also committed to spay/neuter assistance and education to companion animal guardians.

We do not have a shelter, so all animals in our program are placed in temporary foster homes until permanent homes can be found.
