Octavia is a 4-year-old, 55-pound bundle of love who’s ready to bring joy to your life! She’s playful, loving, and has never met a stranger she didn’t adore. Octavia gets along great with other dogs and loves being part of the action, whether that’s exploring the yard or soaking up snuggles on the couch.

She’s leash-trained (but strong!) and would thrive best in a home with a fenced yard where she can stretch her legs and play to her heart’s content. Octavia is potty-trained, knows how to sit, and is eager to please her people.

While she takes a little time to settle into new environments, a patient and loving family will be rewarded with the most loyal and sweet companion you could ever hope for.

More about this rescue

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
