Verizon is a sweet and gentle girl who's looking for a home where she can truly thrive. She's a wonderful companion but needs the right environment to feel safe and happy.

This lovely lady absolutely adores other cats, so a home with feline friends is a must! She finds comfort and confidence in the company of her fellow kitties. If you have older children or kids who understand that cats need their space, Verizon will fit right in. She appreciates calm interactions and doesn't like to be pushed or overwhelmed.

Her favorite thing? Snuggling up in a cozy bed! Once she feels comfortable, Verizon will be your quiet, cuddly companion, ready to curl up beside you and share peaceful moments.

All adoptions must be done in person. Prospective adopters must meet the pet and complete the adoption application and questionnaire during the initial visit to our shelter at 2802 W Central Park Ave, Davenport, IA.

The Humane Society of Scott County (HSSC) has been an advocate for the humane care of all animals in Scott County, Iowa, since 1902.

An average of 500 pets arrive at the HSSC each month. About 80% come to us as strays and the rest are surrendered by owners who can no longer keep or care for their pets.

The HSSC is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization funded entirely by donations, adoption fees and a fee charged to the city and county for the care of the animals.
