My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gray, a handsome 3-year-old, 26-pound Poodle who is ready to find a loving, understanding home. Gray came to us as a stray and has shown himself to be a wonderful companion for those who respect his boundaries and let him adjust at his own pace. He's leash trained, house-trained, and, as a hypoallergenic breed, he makes a great match for families with allergies.

Gray can be wary of new people, and his initial fearfulness may lead to some protective behaviors. He would thrive best in an adult-only home where his boundaries are respected. Though he's not comfortable with other dogs, once he feels safe with his humans, he's a sweet guy who loves spending time outdoors and enjoys relaxing with his toys. Gray needs a patient family that understands his need for time and space to feel comfortable. If you're looking for a loyal, low-maintenance companion and are ready to give Gray the understanding he deserves, he could be your perfect match.

More about this rescue

CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
