Meet Bruce! Bruce is around 3.5 years old and is a pit/boxer mix. This playful and energetic pup is completely house trained-never has an accident! He's also a zoomies expert, and loves to spend his time sprinting outside. Bruce was surrendered with another dog, but we are unsure how he does with cats and he would prefer a home without young kids. If you're looking for a fun-loving, reliable companion, Bruce is ready to make your home his own!

The Loving Heart Animal Shelter is a private, independent, nonprofit corporation governed by a volunteer Board of Directors composed of community members who are dedicated to animal welfare. We are funded primarily through private donations and service revenue. We are not controlled or funded by any statewide or national organization. Donations made to national animal welfare groups do not benefit our local pets. We are based near Lafayette, Indiana.

What We Do

Loving Heart Animal Shelter is a no-kill animal shelter and adoption organization. Our shelter strives to create an environment which enhances awareness of the humane treatment of animals. The mission of Loving Heart Animal Shelter is to rescue healthy and treatable dogs. This shall include, but is not limited to sick, injured and abused animals, strays, and owner relinquished animals. We will nurture and restore them to happy healthy lives in loving permanent homes.
