Meet Brandy!

This sweet mama dog took care of her 6 puppies while on the streets of South Texas. She arrived to us with her 6 babies: Bellini, Cosmo, whiskey, Rita, Fireball and Bailey in September. They are all healing and learning to be great pets. Please stay tuned for updates as we learn more about these great hounds.

We process applications in the order they are received and will be happy to discuss the specific dog(s) you're interested in once we have your application. Our adoption fee is $200 - $300 for most dogs, all are spayed or neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm tested/treated and microchipped, at a minimum, if they had any other medical issues upon arrival, we treated that too!

Hound Rescue is always in need of foster homes. We do not have a shelter so our ability to rescue is limited only by the number of families willing to take in a beagle in need. If interested go to http://houndrescue.com and click on "How to Foster."

Hound Rescue started in Austin, Texas in 1998. We are a small group of individuals who foster dogs in our homes. Hound Rescue also provides placement assistance to both shelters and others who need to find homes for hounds who for whatever reason have become stray.

Most of our animals come from high-kill facilities where they were scheduled to be euthanized. Because of the huge numbers of unwanted dogs, Hound Rescue Texas can only take owner surrenders on a limited basis as space permits in our foster home network.
