Hello, world! My name is Dudley!

I am a fun-loving Australian Shepherd mix boy approximately 1.5 years of age. I weigh about 43 pounds and I am the perfect medium-sized friend to fit right into your active, loving homes.

I absolutely love toys and I love to play fetch. I do love my treats and even though I know how to sit and shake, I would love to get more treats by learning new tricks seeing as how I’m super smart!

I have played well with my friends here at the shelter but I would need to meet your canine friends before becoming a part of your home. I’m not sure how I feel about cats just yet, so if you have feline friends at home, it would take slow and supervised introductions.

I am a loving and playful boy and I need tons of exercise both for my mind and body, so a family with a very active lifestyle is key for my new adopted family.

Macomb County Animal Control will verify proper preventative care history of past/current pets and verify home ownership/review a pet policy

3.
Approve Application

Once an application is approved the adoption coordinator will schedule a time with the applicant/family to meet the pet.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

If a meet-and-greet is successful the family has an opportunity to finalize the adoption.

5.
Pay Fee

Each pet has an established adoption fee and payment can be accepted in the form of credit/debit, check or cash.

6.
Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

Fees very depending on age, animal, breed, etc. Fees vary and are established by the county to help offset medical and care expenses.

You are required to fill out an adoption application that is subject to review. We reserve the right to deny any application for any reason. If you would like to adopt and dog and already have a dog/s, please bring your dog/s with you so we can make sure the dogs get along. If you rent your home, live in a condo or mobile home community, please bring proof that you are allowed to have pets.
