Where are our big kitty lovers? Meet affectionate 9 year old Max (15 lb) with his cute brown
tabby coat and white toes. His person sadly passed away, and then just recently, his brother
Jake passed away, quite suddenly, from complications of a previously undiagnosed lung tumor.
Poor Max! He’s a confident people lover that will approach you for pets and attention. Young
enough that he still enjoys a variety of toys and adores being with his people receiving attention.
His foster is teaching him to walk on a harness and he is taking to it with ease. He might do well
with another easy going cat in the home.

More about this rescue
Golden Oldies Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in June 2016.
Our mission is to be a resource and advocate for older cats in Monterey County. We re-home older cats in Monterey County whose guardians can no longer care for them, or those who are at risk in local shelters. We place these cats in temporary foster homes and then find permanent loving homes for them enriching the lives of both the cats and their new humans.
We promise a lifetime commitment to the cats in our care. They either will be adopted or will live out their lives in one of our foster homes.
Golden Oldies is led by a board who share a vision of helping older cats in Monterey County live out their remaining years in safe, secure and loving homes. We are all volunteer and 100 percent foster-based
