Gilbert is a handsome little short stack with a face expressive enough for Hollywood stardom. He is a surprisingly shy little dude when he first meets you but within seconds he is asking for pets and ear scratches. He loves to play and has dog friends of all ages and sizes. He is a terrific playmate and will always make sure everyone is having fun. If another dog takes a toy out of his mouth during play he just shrugs his shoulders and lets the toy go - he is completely non-reactive and not confrontational. Gilbert loves to sit out in the yard and watch the world go by. His favorite spot is beneath the banana tree where he will relax, roll a little and take naps. He is an absolute delight. Gilbert has an incredible talent for bringing playfulness out of dogs who have forgotten how to be playful or dogs who never learned how to be playful in the first place. He will adjust his play style for every dog - it is a rare skill that is a gift to witness. Gilbert is also firm friends with his stuffed animals and will bring them outside with him to sit and enjoy. He isn’t a big chewer or a barker - he is perfection in canine form.
