My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Scaredy!
Scaredy arrived with her brother Spooky just in time for spooky season and their names are a perfect fit! Scaredy and her brother were a little nervous about their new home so for the first week they hung out in their own little private condo but recently they decided it was time to make some new feline friends and ventured into the kitten free roaming room. Scaredy has done well making new friends, stretching out and scratching all the posts, and cuddling up for kitty naps! She's still on the shy side with new people and tends to try and hide but has been coaxed out with a few treats and some patience! Scaredy would love to find her forever home and celebrate spooky season all year round!

Kittens require a significant amount of patience and training to learn how to behave properly in a home. The first few months of having a kitten is a critical time to improve socialization and help your kitten become confident. Exposing your kitten to all kinds of touch, sounds, people, and animals can ensure a well-socialized adult cat. Remember, kittens aren't born knowing how to live in a human's world, it is up to you to teach them how to make good decisions in a positive and caring manner. The more positive interactions they have in their first year of life will set them up for better behavior in the future.

If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.
