Hi there, I am a very petite little Maltese mix named Abby. I am about 3 years old, weigh 6.5 lbs, and I was a stray dog in San Antonio Texas, found dirty and so badly matted I could barely walk. The lady who found me was an angel. She took me for some vet care and grooming and then reached out to 4 Little Paws Rescue who happily took me in and named me after her. I’m now living in a foster home, having some fun, making new friends, had another trip to the vet for spay and microchip, and now I am ready to find a wonderful forever home!

I am a sweet little girl, dainty and adorable, shy at first but I adore people and I love love. I’m good with other dogs but right now I’m mostly focused on having someone who will snuggle me in their arms and let me snuggle in their lap while getting pets and tickling my tummy and putting kisses on my forehead. It’s pretty obvious I wasn't being cared for or loved at all in my past, so I’d like some extra attention if possible, and sleeping beside you in bed each night is almost a must. In return for all this extra love, I will be very well-behaved, rarely bark if ever, won't potty in the house, or cause any mischief, and I’ll be looking at you with love-filled eyes like you hung the stars and the moon! I’m not fond of being kept in a crate or left alone, but I will settle down and cope. Just expect I’ll be doing a happy dance the moment you walk back through the door!
