My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cooper says HI! This little guy was running loose with his suspected sisters. He evaded ACO capture by jumping in the lake but was regularly visited the neighborhood kids and slept on front porches. A kind family was determined to get him and keep him safe. Unfortunately, the resident dog does not like having him around so much, so we are looking for an immediate foster placement ideally foster-to-adopt.

We think Cooper is a Siberian Retriever (Husky/Lab mix); he is the perfect medium sized, 45 lb adult dog. His current family has ALL the temperament test things: another dog, cats, a baby…and Cooper is doing so well with them all! He’s house trained, crate trained, and we are working on leash skills, and 100% GOOD BOY!

Cooper has had his first round of Parvo and Bordetella and we are going to get him in to vet ASAP for rabies shots, to address a tooth issue and get him neutered. We will cover all of these expenses for a foster or adopter.See more pics at www.flyingbrescue.org/adopt

More about this rescue

Flying B Animal Rescue & Sanctuary was founded in honor of my husband Tom Baker who passed away in 2023 from pancreatic cancer. Tom understood my profound love of animals and wanted me to follow my dream to start an animal rescue - so here we are.

Flying B provides rescue, shelter, and rehabilitation for abandoned animals in the Ellis County and surrounding areas.
