Hi there, I'm Rosa, and I'm a sweet little catten with just the right amount of sass to keep you on your toes! In September, my guardian passed away and I was left inside with a bunch of other cats. Eventually, the police tossed us all outside to fend for ourselves. My foster mommy rescued us (boy did we give her a run for her money), but I eventually softened out and decided to trust humans again.
I've got a little dilute tortie in me, so of course I have some strong opinions on how I like things-especially when it comes to being petted. I love affection, and if you stop petting me before I am done with it, don't be surprised if I give you a gentle bap to remind you to keep going. It's all in good fun though, I promise!
I get along well with other cats and enjoy hanging out with my furry friends, but I can be a little bashful at first. Once I warm up to you, I'll be your best buddy! I'm still learning a few good manners, but I'm a fast learner and really just want to please.

More about this rescue
The Heart of America Humane Society is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit organization helping to place shelter and foster animals into permanent homes in and around the greater Kansas City metro area.
Our goal is to save and improve the lives of Kansas City's homeless companion animals by promoting responsible pet ownership. The Heart of America Humane Society (HAHS) partners with the Lee's Summit Animal Shelter (Lee's Summit MO) and KCK Animal Services (Kansas City KS) to increase pet adoptions into responsible, permanent homes.
Background
Our organization does not have a permanent facility or paid staff, so many of our adoptions take place at PetSmart stores and occasionally through other event venues. Some events raise awareness and bring in donations for our animal support efforts, while others help acknowledge and show appreciation for our own volunteers (who perform all duties outside of their regular jobs). Visit our website to learn more about us at heartofamericahs.org.
