Chaz O'Hoolihan is a distinguished older tuxedo cat with a heart of gold and a preference for tranquility. With his classic black-and-white fur and gentle demeanor, Chaz has a knack for bringing comfort and calm to those around him. During the challenging times of COVID, he was a steadfast companion, offering solace and warmth as the family's emotional support. His serene presence and nightly cuddles make him the perfect partner for someone seeking a peaceful and loving feline friend.
As a senior gentleman, Chaz thrives in a quiet environment and would prefer a home without young children, as their energy can be a bit overwhelming for him. He is a fan of routine and enjoys being brushed, though he's not fond of being held. His dietary needs are particular-he requires wet food to keep his tummy happy and healthy. If you're looking for a sweet and serene companion to share your calm and cozy home, Chaz O'Hoolihan is ready to provide you with gentle affection and companionship.
Forget-Me-Nots are small, sometimes missed, flowers that symbolize true love, loyalty, and remembrance. At the Maryland SPCA, we classify a pet as a Forget-Me-Not to highlight an animal that may have some extra considerations for potential adopters to be aware of. Even though this pet may need a little extra TLC in order to fully bloom, we know they are still a strong candidate for adoption and they're sure to bring true love and loyalty into their new family. We hope you'll remember these beautiful creatures when you consider adopting.

More about this shelter
The Maryland SPCA connects wonderful pets to loving owners. We are not affiliated with any national animal organization, and we do not receive any government or United Way funding. Our mission is to prevent cruelty and neglect of animals through fostering the humane relationship between animals and people. We operate primarily in the Greater Baltimore Metropolitan area.
To make sure that our dogs and cats do not contribute to the pet overpopulation problem, every one is spayed or neutered before going into a new home. The cost is included in the adoption fee, as are the costs of shots and other necessary care. In addition, a free Positive Pooch class is available to our dog adopters.
There is no set time limit for how long an animal can remain in our adoption program. As long as an animal maintains general good health and a sound temperament, we keep him or her until adopted. We pride ourselves on providing premium care to the animals in a clean, pleasant environment. Our adoption staff works diligently to pair up adopters with the best animal match for their homes and lifestyles.
We transport animals from other shelters to our adoption center to help more animals get adopted. We also help pet owners find new homes for their pets so their animals don’t need to enter shelter care.
