My name is Salem!

Hello!
My name is Salem, and I am a low-maintenance, adult cat that loves to cuddle. I have lovely short hair, but I really don't shed much for a cat. I am very good with children and adults, and I even (kinda) like my dog-sister, since she's about my size. I like to play, but I don't need a lot of exercise. Give me a soft pipecleaner for a toy and I'll be entertained for hours! I like canned food best, but I will eat canned or dry all the same. You can even leave a little extra food in my bowl, and I promise not to overeat! I used to chew on everything, but I am happy to report that I am one year sober from eating any socks, clothes, or shoes.
I love a good firm scratch right on the top of my head but scratching my neck or the base of my tail works wonders. Just please don't scratch my tummy; I'm a little sensitive about that.
I need a new home, preferably one where I can be the only cat, but I may open up to siblings.
