My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Milly is a 2 month old, 3.5 lb Rat Terrier mix that came to Humane Tomorrow from a Florida shelter during Hurricane Milton evacuations. Cute little Milly is outgoing and playful. She loves toys, especially chews. She has sharp little baby teeth, so she will need some sturdy chew toys to keep her chewing the right things. We think she will be fine with kids over the age of 6. She gets along great with the other dogs in her foster home, and would love to have another playful dog companion in her new forever home. She will also do fine as an only dog, as long as her people are home most of the time and provide her with plenty of exercise, play time, and training. To meet Milly, please submit your application, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.

Submit Application

You may complete an application via our website at http://www.humanetomorrow.org/adopt/.

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters must fill out an application for the animal they want to adopt, which is available on our website. Humane Tomorrow does not do adoptions outside of the DFW Metroplex.

Our adoption fees are...
Cats:
$150 for most kittens and cats

Dogs:
$250-$300 for most puppies and dogs

The adoption fee helps to cover the costs of basic preventative care including spay or neuter, vaccines (including Rabies and virals), heartworm tests and preventative for dogs, FeLV/FIV tests for cats, in addition to extra medical care the animal may need, such as heartworm treatment, dental, or surgery. Often our adoption fees do not even cover costs for basic medical care the animals need, and are certainly cheaper than if all these procedures were covered by the owner.

Humane Tomorrow reserves the right to deny any application for any reason.

More about this rescue

Humane Tomorrow is a non-profit 501(c), all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of unwanted and abused animals in Flower Mound and the surrounding areas. We are also committed to spay/neuter assistance and education to companion animal guardians.

We do not have a shelter, so all animals in our program are placed in temporary foster homes until permanent homes can be found.
