My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Blake came to Humane Tomorrow from Florida during Hurricane Milton evacuations. He is 10 months old, weighs 32 lbs, and we are guessing that he is a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Black Mouth Cur mix. He is affectionate and loves to give kisses and cuddle with his people. He absolutely loves other dogs, but he might be too enthusiastic for older, more laid back dogs.
Blake would also be fine as an only dog, as long as he gets enough exercise and play time.
He likes to play fetch with the soccer ball, although he's better at chasing it than bringing it back! He is still just a puppy, so he will need sturdy chew toys to keep him entertained. Blake (like all puppies) will need some additional positive reinforcement training, but he is treat motivated and a quick learner. He is crate and potty trained. To meet Blake, please submit your application, and an adoption counselors will contact you.

You may complete an application via our website at http://www.humanetomorrow.org/adopt/.

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters must fill out an application for the animal they want to adopt, which is available on our website. Humane Tomorrow does not do adoptions outside of the DFW Metroplex.

Our adoption fees are...
Cats:
$150 for most kittens and cats

Dogs:
$250-$300 for most puppies and dogs

The adoption fee helps to cover the costs of basic preventative care including spay or neuter, vaccines (including Rabies and virals), heartworm tests and preventative for dogs, FeLV/FIV tests for cats, in addition to extra medical care the animal may need, such as heartworm treatment, dental, or surgery. Often our adoption fees do not even cover costs for basic medical care the animals need, and are certainly cheaper than if all these procedures were covered by the owner.

Humane Tomorrow reserves the right to deny any application for any reason.

More about this rescue

Humane Tomorrow is a non-profit 501(c), all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of unwanted and abused animals in Flower Mound and the surrounding areas. We are also committed to spay/neuter assistance and education to companion animal guardians.

We do not have a shelter, so all animals in our program are placed in temporary foster homes until permanent homes can be found.
