Beatrice just turned three, and we were curious to learn about her breed mix. Here’s what we discovered:
You can check out more details about her breed mix here: Beatrice's Wisdom Panel .
Now, let me tell you why Beatrice is so special. She is a sweet, loving, and smart girl who adores people and other dogs. Whenever she sees a new face—human or canine—her tail wags with excitement. She’s incredibly social and loves to make new friends.
However, Beatrice does have a high prey drive, so a home without small animals, including cats and small dogs, would be best. Her enthusiasm for food also makes her a bit too rambunctious for homes with very young children, as she may accidentally knock them over in her excitement.
At around 40 pounds, Beatrice is strong and agile. As a hound, her hunting instincts are sharp—especially when it comes to raccoons. She has even taken down a raccoon her size without a scratch!
Beatrice’s story is one of resilience. This beautiful brindle girl was abandoned on a road in Arkansas while pregnant, and sadly, her litter didn’t survive. After fending for herself, she thought she’d found a home, only to be abandoned again. Thankfully, a local rescue stepped in, and Beatrice made her way to Atlanta, where she’s hoping to find her true forever family.
What makes Beatrice truly special are her soulful eyes, her stunning coat, and her eagerness to please. She’s a social butterfly who loves other dogs, enjoys playtime, and has a deep desire to bond with a person she can call her own. She’s a cuddler, happy to snuggle up and relax next to you, but she’s also a true hound who would love to accompany you on outdoor adventures. If you’re a hunter, she’d be thrilled to join you—just be sure to keep a tracker on her because once she picks up a scent, she’s off!
Because of her strong hunting instincts, a home with a fenced yard would be ideal to give her space to run while staying safe. Beatrice is 100% potty trained and is perfectly calm indoors as long as she gets her daily walk. A 30-minute walk is usually enough to keep her content and relaxed, but without that exercise, she might get a bit antsy.
If you’re looking for a beautiful, loyal companion to share your life with—whether it’s watching TV on the couch or exploring the outdoors, Beatrice Beasley could be the perfect match. She’s a special girl, and I tell her that every day. My biggest hope is that she finds someone who will see just how special she is and give her the loving home she deserves. Could that someone be you?
