My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Sakura! I was rescued with my sister, Woodland. Unfortunately, we got ringworm. Just a tiny skin infection that takes about a month to clear. But the shelter we were at didn`t have the capacity to hold us, so they scheduled us for euthanasia that day. All for a little skin infection. Luckily Smittens pulled us at the 11th hour! Now I’m ringworm-free and feeling great. I’m a sweet and loving girl who enjoys nighttime cuddles and making biscuits. I’m a little shy at first but once I get to know you, I’m the most cuddly, loving girl you’ll ever meet. I can’t wait to find my forever home!

More about this rescue

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
