My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Seal

‘This beautiful Seal Point siamese needs a very special family or person! Seal and his littermates tested positive for FELV which  is feline leukemia. These special kitties must remain indoor only kitties and must be adopted as an only kitty OR could be adopted with one of his litter mates, which also tested  positive. This virus can spread easily to uninfected cats. Seal is very chill , sugar sweet and a purring machine . He likes to Perch up high and watch what’s going on around him. He is still very playful as a teenager and he and his litter mates have been in foster care since birth and have always been healthy so far .

* Important note : Not all cats react the same way once they get the FELV virus. Some cats begin showing symptoms nearly immediately after being exposed to the virus. At the same time, other cats exposed to the feline leukemia virus can go months or years without experiencing any symptoms. Some cats are able to defeat the virus without any medical attention. Additional test would be suggested.

More about this rescue

Whiskers, Tails and Ferals is a network of volunteers and foster families caring for dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens who have been abandoned, are feral, or are facing the threat of being euthanized at an animal shelter.
All dogs and cats that come into our program are spayed or neutered. Felines are FeLV and possibly FIV, vaccinated, wormed (as needed) and micro-chipped.
All sick animals are immediately put under the care and supervision of a Napa veterinarian and Whiskers, Tails and Ferals pays for their medications.
The cats and kittens that are not able to be tamed, are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and returned to their colonies where colony guardians continue to feed and care for them.
