My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Maya, a delightful 9-year-old Collie Shepherd mix. This gentle and easygoing girl adores lounging on a cozy couch just as much as she relishes her outdoor strolls. For Maya, every moment is better when shared with you. While she gets along well with other dogs and cats, she tends to be timid around children. Maya would thrive in a serene home environment, making her an ideal companion for a retired couple or a single individual who can spend ample time with her and integrate her into their everyday life.

Age: 9 years

Breed: 1/2 Collie, 1/2 German Shepherd

Weight: ~75 pounds

Kid-friendly: Can be timid around children, would recommend older children with ample time for introduction.

Dogs: Yes

Cats: Yes

Crate trained: No, likes to be around family.

Potty trained: Yes

Health concerns:  Has poultry allergy (managed by monitoring food/treats given to her), and a sensitive digestive system

Current medications & estimated costs:  None.

Adoption fee: $375

As a rescue, we provide the care, procedures and testing that is available to us. Adopters will be responsible for continued preventatives, follow-up appointments, and medications (if applicable). At times, adopters will be responsible for procedures not completed in rescue (dentals, bloodwork, etc.)

Your new dog will receive their rabies and distemper vaccine.

$50 discount for seniors (65+) and veterans. Adoption fees help pay for the dog's veterinary exam, vaccinations (rabies and distemper) HW test and spay/neuter if needed and additional health needs specific to each animal.

Grey Face Rescue does not adopt outside of Minnesota for now. We apologize for the inconvenience.

We do not adopt animals to families whose current pets are not up-to-date on vaccinations or not altered. Exceptions may be made for medical reasons as stated by a veterinarian and we will require proof of that recommendation. Thank you for understanding our mission to reduce overpopulation.

Once you submit your application, our adoption manager will be in touch, so please check your spam folder if you do not see something from us within 7-10 days.

Thank you again for your interest in a Grey Face senior. We appreciate your support!
