Prada is an 8-month old brindle whom we saved from the shelter as a newborn and adopted out. Her adopter had a quickly deteriorating medical condition arise and wanted the absolute best for this gal, so we said of course we'd care for this bundle of love again and find her a perfect forever home.

Calling all brindle lovers! Named after the fashion house, Prada comes with a one-of-a-kind designer coat complete with white fur collar and gloves.

From the foster family:

Prada a very happy young lady. Her tail is always wagging. She loves people and gets along with humans big and small, young and old. She also really enjoys having a fur-sibling. Our other foster, a 2yo Shephard, and her play together beautifully throughout the day.

Prada is housetrained (not a single accident) and knows some basic commands. She sleeps very well through the night and allows us to wake-up slowly in the morning. We get up about 7am and head outside for playtime and potty, followed by breakfast. Lots of fun activity during the day and also downtime while we're working, followed by dinner. She's a peaceful office-mate. Lights out about 10pm.

Prada likes her plushy toys best. Not a chewer of furniture. She does fine at home when we have to go out (has access to a few rooms and the yard). Prada will sometimes mistake herself for a lapdog during movie night, which is totally endearing.

Prada's well socialized. She been on college campuses brightening the days of students studying for exams, done yappy-hours at corporations bringing joy at the end of long work-days, and greets her foster sister for school pick-up with all her friends around to say "hi" and give pets. She can be silly, too, and loves rolling over for belly rubs.

Prada's 55lbs (her mom is a 40-lb brindle, never met the dad) . She enjoys daily walks/runs and adventure outings, and saying hello to everyone. She is SO HAPPY. Prada is bright and strong, and will be a good training partner in puppy classes. Leash-walking should be for parents or older kids, due to her strength. Prada rides very well in the car.

Prada would enjoy being a playful companion to your friendly dog, or could be solo in a home where love and attention is doted on her. Adopters should have had a dog in the last five years.  Kids in the home should be over the age of 8 and respectful.

When you adopt from DPS Rescue you get a foster write-up from people who have lived with and cared for the dog you're adding to your family. We get to know their personality and can provide you with their routine, habits and insights into their nature. You'll start off on the right foot (er, paw) from day one! You're helping clear the shelters because DPS pulls great dogs from overcrowded shelters and gives them time to decompress at home and let their personalities shine through. We socialize, vaccinate, spay/neuter, feed and care for our foster dogs all along the way of getting to know them so that you can read in-depth profiles and make an informed decision. It's a lot of hard work - but worth it! Thanks for adopting from DPS and supporting the efforts of dogs finding their forever homes.
