My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet **Libby**, a playful 6-month-old Catahoula mix weighing in at 40 pounds. With her striking white coat and charming spots, Libby is full of energy and loves to keep active! She's kennel and pad-trained but also knows to go to the door when it's time to head outside—zero accidents in the house!

Libby adores the outdoors, especially when she can splash around in her pool. She thrives in wide, open spaces and would be an excellent herding dog, thanks to her Catahoula instincts. This clever girl is quick to learn commands and is highly food-motivated, though she seems to always have an appetite!

While she loves toys and attention, Libby isn’t overly demanding and sleeps soundly through the night in her kennel. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and though she hasn't been fully socialized with children just yet, she's incredibly loving and gentle—there's not an aggressive bone in her body.

Libby is ready to bring joy and energy into a loving home with plenty of space for her to run and explore!
IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.

Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adopt

All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.

ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.

Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transport

We understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.October 23, 2024, 4:56 am

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
