My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Morning Star was brought in by her previous owner on October 2, 2024.

Why Morning Star is the one for you:
Meet Morning Star, a beautiful and relaxed kitty seeking a small, quiet household to call her own. This gentle girl loves to sunbathe and lounge around, enjoying the cozy comforts of home. While she can be a bit shy at first, once she warms up, she's friendly and will happily ask for pets and attention. Morning Star has experienced some occasional litter box issues and signs of stress over the past year, which started when she was left home alone more than usual. With a loving and patient family, we expect she can thrive and feel secure. If you're ready to provide a calm environment for this sweet girl, Morning Star is waiting to shine in her new home!

At SDHS:
This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
