My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How La Nina arrived:
This pet was brought in by their previous owner.

Here is an update on how La Nina is doing in foster:
La Niña is making wonderful strides in her foster home! She's starting to adjust to her new surroundings and even treated her foster to some midnight zoomies-proof of her playful side shining through. She finds comfort in relaxing cat videos and music and is slowly warming up, allowing gentle pets on occasion. If you're patient and loving, La Niña will reward you with her blossoming personality and charm. Could you be the calm, nurturing home she's waiting for?

At SDHS:
La Niña has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed and is now ready for her new home!

Shy/Fearful Cat:  This kitty requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS VIDEO to learn more about them.

EMAIL for details:

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
