Whitman is a funny little man. You always know what hes thinking, because he is very communicative, both about what he loves and what he hates. He loves, loves, loves getting face scritches and is known to drool a little when hes really enjoying it. He loves to give a face to face headbutt when the opportunity is presented to him, and generally loves to be around his human. If you work from home, hell be happy to hang out next to your computer, though he may occasionally sit directly in front of the monitor to force you to take a pet break (maybe several pet breaks throughout the dayhe has needs). His primary quirk to be aware of is that he gives warning bites (like we said, communicative!) if you try to reach around him; once you learn the few motions hes not a fan of, its pretty easy to avoid. Because of this he probably wouldnt do well with young kids or more active dogs, but he hasnt been tested with either. Despite his attitude, hes done surprisingly well with being loaded into a carrier or medicated by just being wrapped in a blanket. Hes also been fairly good at the vet when drugged with gabapentin. While Whitman doesnt love being around a lot of other cats, weve found he enjoys having an acquaintance arounda frenemy, if you will. Though they still occasionally hiss at each other, he and his current foster companion still choose to lay near each other when napping, and hes been happier at nighttime since she arrived. We imagine hed love nothing more than to sleep in bed with his humans and warm them with his large, smooshy body. Hes a big fan of catnip and churu treats.
