My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This sweet 2-year-old Australian Cattle Dog girl is looking for her forever home. While she may not be the most social with other animals, she absolutely adores people! She's a total cuddle bug who loves nothing more than being close to her human. She walks nicely on a leash, is crate trained and house trained, knows basic commands and is a super fast learner.

Shaker is a high-energy pup who loves to play fetch and run around, but she settles nicely and has an off button. She's incredibly smart and would thrive in a home with an active owner who can provide her with plenty of mental and physical stimulation. She has the potential to excel in agility or other dog sports.

If you're looking for a loyal, loving, and energetic companion, Shaker could be the perfect match for you. She's ready to shower you with affection and bring joy to your life.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We require potential adopters to fill out an Adoption Application. When that is approved we can arrange for the prospective adopter to meet the dog they are interested in. We do require an adoption contract to be signed at time of adoption. We have a virtual home-check process (don't forget to submit photos of the exterior of your home!) Adoption fees range depending on the age of the dog. We do have dogs located at qualified fosters throughout the state and also out of state.

Go meet their pets

Since all rescue dogs live in foster homes, there is no single facility to meet pups.

You will need to contact Ewenity Farms HDH to make arrangements to meet the rescue dog after you have an approved app on file. Apps can be filled out at ewenityfarm.org

More about this rescue

We are a small, foster-based rescue organization located in Southwest Florida. Being small helps us give more one-on-one attention to individual dogs and their needs. Rescued dogs are kept in our homes and treated as our own. Herding dogs are unique. They are highly intelligent and require much of the owner’s attention. The dogs are evaluated, when they come into the rescue, for any temperament and health issues. Then they are given basic obedience, socialization and rehabilitation as it is necessary.

It is our sole purpose to find forever homes for these loving, wonderful dogs that have been discarded through no fault of their own. All adopted dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, micro-chipped, and on flea and heartworm preventative.
