Hatch Date : April 2024
This stunning, baby girl cockatiel is Autumn. She is only about 5 months old, and she has a lot to learn. She hasn't had a lot of handling yet, but her foster family is trying to change that. She eats a pellet/seed mix and LOVES her millet as a treat. She also loves her wicker toys for shredding-- this keeps her quite entertained. She is used to other birds, as she only left the flock in her birth home recently.
Autumn will require some time, patience and consistency for handtaming, but she is a baby, and you will have a lifetime of companionship with her. As cockatiels can live long, active lives into their twenties, we will want to make sure Autumn is adopted by someone who has thought seriously through the commitment and will treat her like the life companion she is meant to be.
Autumn is being fostered in Howell, NJ, and will require in-person visits before adoption
We do not ship our adoptable birds.
For the Love of Birds is a network of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Eastern PA.
As our adoptable birds are living in volunteer homes, we only allow approved adopters to make the required visits.
