Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Sweet, affectionate, and handsome Travis (a good boy!) seeks the love, attention, and stability of a forever home. Travis is three years old, and around 40+ pounds (he weighed 40 at his first weigh-in but has filled out a bit since then). He is timid when he first meets people, but he warms up to them with time, especially if treats are involved. Food is his passion! He LOVES kibble, he LOVES treats, and he would LOVE to try just about anything if given the chance (Be careful of his counter-surfing skills when left unsupervised!) He also loves to chew on his Nylabones (stuffed toys won’t last long), get tummy rubs, play with a tennis ball, go on walks (needs a harness), and go for car rides. He enjoys watching Georgia Bulldogs football with his host father, but we know he is open to watching just about any sport, team, or any type of program as long as he has someone to hang out with.
Travis (his bandanna is a homage to his namesake pro football player and Taylor Swift boyfriend) spent a month at the SPCA before we took him in and was reported to be non-reactive around other dogs. On our walks with him, he is curious about other dogs but does not bark. In fact, he rarely barks at all. He makes a high-pitched whistling/whining sound when he is excited (like when he hears you arriving home). He enjoys having someone at home and can get anxious if left alone for an extended period (he needs something to chew on when left alone). He is generally a calm dog, and will nap a lot, but he does like to run off some energy in the yard occasionally.
He is house-trained but doesn’t care to be in a crate for long. He prefers to hang out in his favorite chair or the couch. He’s smart and trainable for basic commands.
***Please Note: All the available dogs listed on our website are getting spoiled in private foster homes. If someone has caught your eye and you wish to arrange a meet and greet, we do need you to fill out the adoption application. When your adoption application is received our screening team will verify the information given. Once your application has been confirmed and approved, we will be send it over to the foster parent for review to determine if your home is a good match for the dog. In the event one lucky dog receives multiple applications, please know we do not select based on a first come basis. We try our best to select the best-fit for our animals and families. ***
