My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Waldo is a 2 year old, 50 lb fluffy love bug. He is a border collie husky mix that has never met a stranger. He loves everyone he meets and loves being pet. Waldo loves playing outside with other dogs but is also happy to snuggle with his people on the couch. He is the perfect gentleman in the car and prefers riding shot gun if possible so he can look out the window and have you hold his paw. He walks well on a leash, is house trained and mostly crate trained. He gets a little whiny/chatty in the crate but likes when you leave music or tv on for him (some of his favorites are NPR, Gilmore Girls and Modern Family). He comes when called and knows sit and is working on other commands. He loves other dogs and lives with two foster dog siblings. He plays well and never shows aggression even when his grumpy old man foster brother gets snappy with him. He also likes his two foster cat siblings but sometimes when they run he chases after them not knowing he might scare them, but he's working on that with his foster too.

***Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a socially distanced meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to meet/pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt.***
