Here's what the humans have to say about me:
🐾 Meet Jasper: The Ultimate Lapdog in a Big Dog Body! ☀️
At eight years young, Jasper is a happy, lovable goofball who just wants to snuggle his way into your heart. He’s a 62lb cuddlebug who firmly believes he’s a lapdog, and honestly? We won’t argue with him! His favorite things include belly rubs, affection, and sharing his life stories through his signature happy barks.
Jasper is great with kids and other dogs, fully house-trained, and knows his basic commands like a pro. His tail never stops wagging, and his smile is contagious—he’s just that kind of dog!
✨ Medical Notes (Don’t Let Them Scare You!): Jasper doesn’t use his right back leg. He had a full hip replacement in late 2024, but after years of not using the leg, he just decided he didn’t need it—even after surgery and PT! His pins were removed in early 2025, but he still prefers to get around on three legs. He also has hip dysplasia in his left hip, but since he doesn’t put weight on it, surgery isn’t needed. None of this slows him down or affects his joy for life!
Jasper is the perfect addition to a family looking for a big, affectionate, happy-go-lucky dog who just wants to be loved. He’s been through a lot, but his spirit is unshakable. Ready for the best snuggle buddy ever? Apply today! 🐾💛 #AdoptJasper #GoldenOldie #BigLapdog

More about this rescue
Southern Nevada Animal Rescue League (SNARL) exists to provide a better life for adoptable homeless, abandoned, or abused animals. We aim to assist in the effort of limiting the overpopulation of these animals as well as educate the public against breed or size discrimination. There is no such thing as a “bad breed”, only bad humans. Our mission is to make sure all of the animals we rescue are placed in loving, safe, and viable fur-ever homes.
