My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Kita, a gentle soul with a heart full of love. This senior lady is the epitome of sweetness, her mellow demeanor is a soothing presence in any home. Kita`s favorite pastime? Cuddling. She loves nothing more than to curl up next to you, her soft snores a comforting melody. But don`t let her age fool you. Kita still has a zest for life, enjoying gentle walks and the simple pleasures of a good meal. She`s a testament to the saying `age is just a number`. Kita is a wonderful companion, her love is unconditional and her loyalty unwavering. Adopt Kita, not just because she needs a home, but because she has so much love to give, and deserves to spend her golden years surrounded by a family that cherishes her.

More about this shelter

We are an open admissions shelter, meaning we take in homeless animals regardless of age, breed, health, temperament or lack of space. On average, we take in about 5,500 stray, surrendered and abandoned animals per year including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles. We provide adoption services to find safe, happy homes for these pets; and also provide low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics to help safeguard them against illness or being lost forever.
