My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Marsh

Hi there! My name is Marsh, and I'm a happy-go-lucky 11-month-old Pittie mix with a beautiful red coat. I'm a neutered boy, weighing around 45lbs, and I'm up to date on all my vaccinations. Plus, I'm heartworm negative, so I'm in tip-top shape!

I'm a goofy and smart pup who loves to cuddle on the couch and play outside. I get along great with other dogs and love hanging out with my foster sibling. I'm still learning my manners, like not jumping and being patient while waiting for food and treats, but I'm eager to please and very smart. I rarely have accidents in the house and am learning to love my crate. I'm also working on my leash manners and do much better with a harness than a collar.

I absolutely adore being around people and will often come over to rest my head on your lap. I'm such a good boy and will be your best friend! While I'm being fostered in Charlotte, NC, I can be transported out of state for the right home. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion, I'm your guy! Fill out an application to see if we are a match. Can't wait to meet you!

Go meet their pets

Our adoptable dogs are all in various foster homes and can be met by contacting rescue. Rescue will then provide foster home's contact information. Meet and greets will be arranged between foster and potential adopters. We also have adoption events at Petsmart on various dates which can be checked on our Facebook page, Operation Save a Shelter Dog.

More about this rescue

Our Mission

Operation Save A Shelter Dog is a foster based, IRS-recognized 501c(3) rescue whose mission is to work with shelters on the East Coast by saving dogs at high risk of euthanasia or that have little hope of adoption in their current condition. Not only is it our goal to find furever homes for our dogs, but also to educate the public on the importance of spaying, neutering, vaccinating and providing preventative care for their pets.
