Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rikki is a gorgeous rare dilute tortoiseshell kitten who is just as beautiful inside as she is outside! This lovely spirit wants to be friends with everyone- dog, cat, adult, child, you name it. She wants to be in whatever room you’re in, chasing her bell toy or sparkle ball around while she waits for you to be ready for a cuddle session. And boy, can this girl cuddle! As soon as you touch her, the purrs start right away and she shoves herself against your hand for more touches. She loves sitting on your lap during the day and curling up with you at night. She would love to soothe you to sleep with the sound of her happy, contended purrs every night.
Rikki is a special, extra friendly little soul who would do well in almost any home. She likes other animals and people of all stripes and would make a great addition to any family. She does great using her litter box and is an all around low maintenance girl—as long as she has plenty of pets and toys, of course! Rikki loves her mom Ruthie and siblings Razzle, Rachel, and Rain and could go home with one (or two) of them, or by herself to a family who has lots of attention to give her!
This kitten is part of the Mom and Me program. This allows adopters to adopt a kitten at the regular adoption fee but gives adopters the opportunity to also adopt the mother for only $100 more. This keeps families together and helps our Momma cats get into a new home sooner. Momma kitty is Ruthie. If you are interested in this program, fill out an application and indicate which kitten and Mom you are interested in.
Rikki is 10 weeks old and 3 lbs. All cats have had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer and treated for fleas and ear mites if needed. If you are interested in meeting this cat please complete the adoption application on our website at https://safehandsrescue.org/adoption-process/ and then we can contact you about setting up a meeting.
