MISHKA
#MadLoveMishka located in Tennessee with an update!
Mishka was a scared pup in the shelter, not sure why she was there, because she is blossoming into a great little companion
From her foster:
She has been decompressing nicely. I think she’s been the easiest pup we’ve had. She crates quietly all night. I do give her a chew at night, and she does great.
She free roams with our dogs during the day. One of us is always home, but she hasn’t been destructive at all. Zero accidents in the house and kennel. I would say she is low to medium energy and low drive.
She likes to romp around in the yard but comes in and turns right off. I leave her kennel open during the day, and she likes to lay in there or on the end of the lounger on the couch. She is less fearful and has started seeking affection but may need a day or two to warm up to a new person.
She knows sit and lay…we started working on leash walking but out of caution (because she was so scared) we’ve been just walking up and down the driveway. She is starting to get leash walking…still some work to do there.
We have seen no resource guarding or aggression. We have done a bath and nails. She didn’t love either but tolerated both pretty quietly. She gets along great with our pups and loves to play with our giant Mal.
I think she would do great with anyone looking for a little pocket side-kick. Would be fine with a smaller yard or apartment. Great for first time breed owners or someone who wants a pup with lower activity needs.
Can you think of a more perfect pup? If she seems like someone you can't live without, reach out here or apply at madrescueinc.orgWelcome to Mishka, this pocket dutch mix is bursting onto the scene with some swwet emotions of happiness for her introduction to rescue. Stay tuned for more update and follow her on facebook #MadLoveMishka
