My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Queen Gata, a majestic brown tabby who arrived at our shelter with her six royal kittens in tow. Now that her little ones have found their own kingdoms, it's Queen Gata's turn to find a home of her own! While she's still adjusting to her new surroundings, Queen Gata may greet visitors with a polite welcome hiss - a reminder that she's taking her time to feel safe. Though shy at first, with patience and gentle affection, her loving and calm nature begins to shine.

Queen Gata prefers quiet, peaceful environments where she can rule with grace. Once comfortable, she'll curl up beside you, purring softly as you pet her soft, luxurious coat. While it may take her a little longer to settle in, the reward is worth it when you gain her trust and affection.

This regal queen may carry a royal title, but all she desires is a forever family who will understand her need for time and patience. If you're looking for a gentle, sweet companion who will eventually reign with love and loyalty, Queen Gata is ready to make your home her castle.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
