Meet KODA!
• Male
• Cattle Dog/Akita mix
• 2 years old
• 50 pounds
• High energy
• Good with dogs
• Appears to be potty trained
• Working on harness walking
Imagine coming home to a whirlwind of wagging tail and love all because you – that's life with Koda! This four-legged ball of sunshine transforms every day into a brighter one, his enthusiasm painting even the most mundane moments with strokes of innocent joy. Koda's not just a dog; he's a social butterfly with a fur coat, turning walks into a neighborhood meet-and-greet. At home, he may follow you from time to time with adoration, and a toy he’s currently working on, as you do your thing. He’ll be perfect in a home with a yard that is accessible to him so he can get those zoomies out. Koda would be perfect for any adventuring types too – a hike over here and festival over there. Koda will do what you do!
Koda is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative.

More about this rescue
Highland Lakes Canine Rescue was founded in 1999 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization by a group of folks who wanted to rescue homeless dogs from the Central Texas region and care for their health, rehabilitation and then to ultimately find these dogs a forever home uniting them with a newly adopted family. Initially HLCR started out as a foster only organization but over the 17 years has grown into it's own location with a kennel facility, outdoor pens, walking trails and staff and resident caretaker. An active and passionate group of staff and volunteers works tirelessly supporting HLCR and its mission.
