Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
True to her name, Shy takes a while to warm up to her people. She would thrive in a quiet and caring house where she is the only pet. She’ll begin by rewarding you with little chirps and then louder meows to get your attention. A sure way to earn her love is by giving her plenty of brushes. She goes wild for the brush and will happily flop back and forth, purring all the while.
Sky spends most of the day to herself, relaxing in her cat cave. She may take a break to play with a catnip toy or bat a ball around. She is in good health and has excellent litter box manners, though like any long-haired pet occasionally needs help cleaning her fluffy behind ;)
Shy doesn’t care for being held and startles easily, but she’ll venture out on her own terms. She’ll lay by your side for a bit each day, sometimes spreading her limbs out bizarrely straight while she naps. When she trusts you enough to do happy flopping gymnastics, you notice her fur go from the black stripe along her back to the brown at her sides. You’ve really made it when she reveals her white belly and lets you pet it.
See if Shy could be a fit for your family and visit her at her foster home in Ballard.
Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. This will include reviewing all known medical and behavior information. ** Please note that some animals will receive numerous inquiries, sometimes more than we can process. We appreciate your understanding and patience.
