Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Taco and Blaze are a bonded pair of 3-4 year old male guinea pigs who can't wait for their next adventure! Their owner loved them dearly but sadly her housing circumstances changed and she could no longer keep her beloved boys.
Taco is the Abyssinian and Blaze is the short haired piggy.
Taco is active, adventurous, and LOUD! No vegetables are safe in his vicinity because he is a hungry little house hippo. He loves floor time and when he hears you fixing his dinner he will do his very best to convince you to let him out and give him free access to his food. He is the first to wheek when he hears the crinkle of his bag of vitamin C treats. He is definitely the more dominant pig in the enclosure, but he and Blaze are a perfect pair.
Blaze used to be shy, but he has made a ton of progress and has really come out of his shell. He is definitely a follower, not a leader, but that's okay! Taco is very nice to him, minus some occasional disagreements about who wants to be inside which hide. But they coexist very peacefully 99% of the time, and sort out their disagreements quickly. Once you have him in your lap, he settles in especially if you give him a carrot or some bell pepper to munch on.
Both boys love to eat! They are accustomed to a variety of vegetables including spring mix, bell pepper, mini pepper, cucumber, carrot, grape tomatoes, cilantro, celery, and more. There's nothing they don't like!
They are used to the hustle and bustle of a busy household, living with one of our higher capacity fosters surrounded by other rodents as well as two polite cats. They don't mind noise and would do well in a household with respectful children, or dogs/cats as long as they other critters can't get into their enclosure! They are fairly relaxed most of the time but they would definitely love to come out for cuddles and free roam time when you can, but they are easily entertained and content in their enclosure as well.
We can meet for adoptions within 1 hour of Minneapolis. Potentially further- please inquire and we can discuss!
