Howdy folks, my name is Woody and I am a handsome little 10 lb Silky Terrier mix, about 3 years old, and I’m a sweetheart. Happy and friendly, I get along great with everyone including kids and strangers, and other dogs, what can I say I’m a very nice boy! I had been wandering the streets of San Antonio for a long time, matted and dirty, and my toenails were a mile long, so a very nice lady picked me up, cleaned me up, and when nobody claimed me I was taken in by 4 Little Paws Rescue. I have a medium energy level, nothing wild and crazy, play some with doggy toys, and I’m a bit of a velcro dog, loving and snuggly, but I don't go nuts if you leave me at home. I’m social and loveable, rarely bark, and I enjoy being with my people. I am good in a crate and can use a potty pad but while I am working on housebreaking, I wear a little “male wrap” indoors. I enjoy going for walks and I don't mind a ride in the car. I hear many wonderful families on the East Coast would be happy to have a sweet little dog like me, so I can't wait to meet them and get my life started! Inquire about me today and bring me home!

Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.

We specialize in saving small to medium breed types and re-homing in the North East where there is less unwanted dog overflow and a high volume of qualified adopters.
