My name is LUPE!

Lupe is a lovely 2-year-old Rottweiler mix with a sweet, gentle demeanor and a big heart. She has soft, friendly eyes and an easygoing nature, happily sitting to be leashed and exiting her kennel without pulling. In the yard, Lupe takes care of her business and then heads right over to you for some scratches and treats—two of her favorite things!

Lupe is food-motivated and knows basic commands like “sit” and “down.” She’s also learning hand targeting, picking it up quickly thanks to her love for treats. Lupe is a gentle girl, taking treats softly and keeping an eye on her person for guidance. When meeting new people, she might be a little reserved at first, but with a treat or two, she warms up quickly, often checking in with her handler as she grows more comfortable. We also suspect that Lupe is housetrained.

Playful but loyal, Lupe will happily chase after toys and balls, only to come running back to you for more treats and affection. She’s a breeze to walk around the shelter, where she stays calm and focused on the leash. Lupe would thrive with a patient family who appreciates her loving, food-motivated personality and can provide her with plenty of companionship and care.
