My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HARPER was a forced surrender by authorities due to severe neglect and malnutrition. She was brought to a shelter and was nearly on her death bed, weighing a mere 23 lbs and she was over a year old. She had almost every parasite imaginable, a painful entropion condition in one eye, very anemic, and looking for that special family to love. Now that HARPER had her eye surgery and is at a healthy weight of 60lbs, she is ready to bring happiness and laughter to her forever family in the Northeast!

After HARPER went to her foster family, she quickly brought so much happiness to their lives. She is known to be "the life of the party, making her people laugh and always up for play with her canine friends. HARPER is very diversified and has developed a variety of work skills, such as landscaping, interior decorating, office assistant, doggy daycare management, health care, and general entertainment. Her most memorable work has been finding a use for a cot with a hole in it (photo included), making us add "comedian" to her list of skills. HARPER has been so popular in doggy daycare management that the dogs will wait and whine at the door for their turn to play with her.

There is nothing HARPER doesn't enjoy: walks, car rides, watching TV, working, etc. If she is getting lovings, she is up for the task! She is an incredibly loving, goofy and fun girl despite all that she has experienced. HARPER is deserving of the best forever home!

More about this rescue

A Lab for Life (ALL) provides a compassionate life-line to abandoned dogs that includes a safe haven, medical care by a licensed veterinarian, nutrition (food) and a fur-ever family through adoption. ALL promotes the humane treatment of animals in the community.

ALL was founded in July 2020 by a group of dog advocates in central Oklahoma and
Northeastern US after some had been volunteering with an out of state rescue for over 5 years. That experience solidified a local organization was needed. ALL formed to rescue as many stray, homeless and owner surrendered dogs as possible by partnering with many state-wide shelters and rescue operations. In addition to transferring homeless dogs from the shelters, fostering them in temporary homes and adopting them out, we also provide behavioral and medical resources to people who are considering surrendering their dog in an effort to keep the dog in their homes and out of the shelter/rescue system.
ALL operates under the 5 freedoms for animal welfare.
We are a brand new organization and welcome donations!
