My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Miss Cabbage! She’s the blueprint for “demure.” At 4 months, 22 lbs Cab (or Cabby) is the sweetest girl with the kindest manners. She sleeps through the night, loves to eat and can play with others or on her own. She is not a barker but she is such a great communicator in other ways. She lets her foster mom know when she wants more food or needs to go outside. Potty trained?! Yes, you heard that right.

More than anything Cab is people motivated. She lights up when she makes eye contact with someone, which is a major plus given that she gets stopped on the street countless times a day. Cabby also loves meeting other dogs on these walks and is a gentle player with dogs of all sizes. Her calm demeanor is always complimented by the other dog owners. But while she is calming, Cabby also has the happiest tail; one that should be studied as a replacement for wind powered energy… and her morning wiggles for the secret to happiness. Cabby will be the perfect addition to any home that is lucky enough to snag her.

Not to mention.... she can walk up and down stairs. And she is good with a crate when left alone.

Personality & Characteristics:
Cabbage is good with other dogs and kids!
3 Keywords for Cabbage: Perfect, perfect and perfect????
Energy Level (1= calm, 10= high energy): She is a 6 on energy level. Cabbage enjoys long walks and running around but isn't the "in your face" hyper. She can read a room and adjusts her demeanor accordingly.
Barker? Or Quiet Pup?: Yet to bark! But communicates with little wimpers when she needs something—like to go outside or a reminder that its dinner time.
Walking Manners: Gets better on the lease every day. She loves to sniff but is very well exposed to long walks. More than anything she enjoys going outside and running around with other dogs. She greets every dog that she is allowed to and makes friends quickly.
Appetite: Cab is a big fan of her farmer's dog chicken food. She also loves chewing on a bone!
Favorite Things: Guilty pleasure is socks.... but she trades for a toy very easily.
Commands/Tricks: Sit!

ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.

Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States.
