My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Autumn Gold!! Autumn Gold is the sweetest girl in the world. She’s goofy, docile and gentle, easy going, affectionate, and full of love. She’s super responsive and gives the cutest tail wags even if you just look her way! She loves snuggles, belly rubs, getting brushed, and giving kisses - sometimes when her foster parents are putting on her leash she'll just roll right over onto her back with the "belly rubs please" look in her eye! She's just a happy-go-lucky girl with a wonderful disposition. While she is incredibly affectionate, Autumn Gold also knows how to be independent. She loves people and definitely prefers being around you but is not anxious or clingy and is happy to go to her bed and take lots of naps on her own. She is chill and is always happy to do whatever - she loves walks but also can be considered a lower energy dog around the house. She would love a home with some outdoor space but most importantly, one with lots of places to take a snooze!

Autumn Gold is incredibly friendly with all people and with all other dogs. She gets lots of compliments about how cute she is on the street and absolutely LOVES to meet new people. She is the truly the defintion of "never met a stranger!" She has not met kids yet while she's been in foster care, but based on her personality her foster parents think she would be super gentle and sweet with them. Autumn Gold is fully house trained and sleeps through the night. She is so polite and well-behaved, does not chew, has done very well with crate training and she is quickly learning "sit"! She also understands and is very responsive to "no."

While Autumn Gold definitely enjoys walks (we're BIG on sniffing), she is still getting used to all the big city noises, especially on busy streets. Given this, she might prefer living in a quieter neighborhood or suburb. That said, her foster parents could see her getting adjusted to any environment so a quieter neighborhood isn’t necessarily a requirement. Overall, Autumn Gold is an absolute JOY and is a perfect companion. She's looking for a forever family who has lots of love to give to her and who would appreciate a sweet, smart, and friendly girl!

ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.

Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States
