Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please visit leiashope.org for our adoption process.
Located in Troy, MO
Requirements:
Secure physical fenced yard
No small children under 6
Little but mighty!! This little guy is a lot of fun. He loves women and has become foster's shadow....literally!! She can't go anywhere without him right with her EVERYWHERE!!!
He can be very vocal when he thinks he is being left behind or placed in a pen where he can't get to his person. He can be a bit possessive of his person with the other dogs and it doesn't matter if it is the bigger dogs that could eat him! He will growl or snap at another dog that comes near foster mom when she is sitting on the couch with him. Otherwise he is just fine in the house and the yard when walking around with the other dogs.
He has developed quite an appetite and enjoys his Fromm Beef Frittata Veg along with bone broth and some gently cooked loaf style Pup Above.
He is quite a snuggler and he sleeps in a small bed next to foster mom in the big bed with blankets for him to sleep in. He usually starts in his bed and will snuggle up with foster mom through the night.
He loves to nap with other dogs on the couch. He can navigate the stairs with no problem and has learned to climb the stairs to the couch and the bed. Gets along with the cats and actually does not even pay attention to them. Tolerates wearing his sweater. He is a kickstand and will try to mark things in the house. He wears a belly band any time he is in the house. He definitely needs a female that will make him their everything!! Someone with low away hours and one that doesn't mind a needy little shadow.
Due to his size, we will be requiring he not go to a home with small children and he will need a secure physical fenced yard.
Skater Boys's adoption is $375. He is neutered, current on vaccines, received a dental and microchipped. Next steps can be found at leiashope.org.
PLEASE NOTE: We are a volunteer ran rescue with full time jobs. Please allow 7-10 days for application processing.
All of our dogs are in foster homes and a meet and greet is done ONLY after an approved application.
We do adopt out of the area. However, we do not ship or provide transportation. You must come to the location of the dog to meet and adopt. NO EXCEPTION. All family members and dogs must be present at the meet.
Dogs are a commitment for THEIR lifetime. For puppies this could be 15 years. If YOU cannot commit to the lifetime of the DOG, please do not apply. Puppies under 9 months must go to a home where there is someone home frequently (works from home or a partner is home), can adequately socialize and train the puppy, and can keep up with puppy energy!
