My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey there, my name is Maxx! I was hand selected for K9's For Warriors service dog program from SAFE animal shelter and passed all my initial tests with flying colors! Since arriving at K9's in June of this year, I've decided I would rather be a family companion over having to work for a living, due to being a little scared going out to public places. I am a lovable boy who thrives around my people and the comfort of my home. Sometimes storms can make me nervous, but I am crate trained and that helps me calm down. Some of my favorite things to do are play with my dog friends, test out new toys (especially squeaky ones) and get endless belly rubs. I don’t love having my feet touched, but everything else is fair game! My idea of a perfect day would be playing with a dog friend or two, sitting outside with my family and maybe even a new toy, because I am a certified good boy. I am crate trained, house trained, neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and eagerly waiting for my forever home.
