My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Bataana! I was found in Orange County very emaciated. I was brought to a foster home with Smittens for some fattening up. I am now eating well, gaining weight and I am a loving, cuddly, sweet kitty. I am very gentle when I play with my foster. I am curious, bright, and busy, yet cautious but I’m not afraid of my foster’s large, male kitty! I enjoy naps on my foster’s lap while she works as well as sitting on all of her paperwork. I start purring the moment I’m picked up or pet by my foster. I’m also a very good girl in my kitty condo and I patiently wait for my foster to let me out in the mornings. Overall I would make a great addition to your family, I can’t wait to find my forever home!

Please note young kittens are adopted out in pairs or to a home with another playful cat or kitten.

More about this rescue

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
