NAME: Tilly
AGE: 6-7 years old,
WEIGHT: Tilly 13lbs
LIKES: During down time, Tilly likes to curl up in her bed or on your lap. She will come to you, and put her paws on the chair to come up.
DISLIKES: Not a fan of the rain, but will go out. She does not like going outside after dark without you with her.
PERSONALITY: Tilly is a very sweet little girl. And nibby, she could be the next candidate for neighborhood watch 😁
TEMPERAMENT: Sweet, friendly and nosey.
ENERGY LEVEL: low
FAVORITE ACTIVITIES: Tilly is a laid back girl, but likes to investigate anything in reach.
FAVORITE TREAT: Any
EATING SCHEDULE: 8am & 4pm
GOOD WITH CATS, DOGS, KIDS OVER 6? Don’t know about cats. Great with dogs, and kids.
HOUSE TRAINED: Yes, but not a fan of the rain.
SIGNALS TO GO OUT: Will go to the sliding glass door.
CRATE TRAINED: No. Not a fan, but doesn't need crated.
CHALLENGES: Tilly sometimes will exhibit anxiety when she knows you are in house, but cannot see you, unless she is sleeping. Once she is comfortable, she no longer does this. She has the ability to knock over a full kitchen garbage can.
MEDICAL ISSUES: None.
THE BEST HOME: Tilly would be great with or without another dog in the house. A fence would be preferable, but not neccessary. She will walk on a leash to go potty. She has seen the ugly side of pure neglect, now it's time to see pure love.
Our adoption process starts with our application. Once the application is approved, a member of Legacy will contact you to set up a home visit. The home visit usually last 1-1.5 hours and is to make sure our dog and any current dogs/cats are getting along, as well as both of us agreeing it's a fit. At this time the adoption fee is due, and begins the 2 week trial. We will check in during the 2 week trial. If it's not working, our dog is returned to the foster home and all except $100.00 {$75 if Senior} of the adoption fee is returned. At the end of the 2 week trial, you decide if you will finalize the adoption - if finalized, the Adoption Contract is signed and all medical records are turned over to you. If at any time you need to rehome the dog it contractually needs to be returned to Legacy Dog Rescue.

Legacy Dog Rescue has two main purposes. First is rescue. We take dogs from many places. Pounds, stray & owner turn ins. We place them in foster homes then find them loving forever homes.
The second purpose is community service. Our spay/neuter program is very close to our hearts. We believe by focusing on spaying and neutering we are helping reduce the dogs that could be sent to the pound. We eliminate the problem before it happens. We also will assist financially to both dog owners and other rescues when appropriate.
We currently run a food assistance program to help dog owners that are struggling to feed their pets due to economic hardship. We are always accepting dog and cat food, or gift cards to help us keep food on hand.
